COLORADO
Here we are in Denver, Colorado. It is my first time to the state so I am very excited to explore this city and see what it has to offer.
The weather is lovely here, chilly but nice and fresh. The Rockies are all around the city,
there are gorgeous colours and amazing views every way you turn.
We decided to drive down to Boulder for the day via Fort Collins. The next few shots were all captured on the way there. I really enjoy taking photographs when we are on route, there are always so many random structures and sights to capture as we drive by. The shots I get while I am in the car really give the viewer an idea of the states scenery and character, it is interesting to compare my CO road trip photos to my LA and TX shots.

Construction workers take a break. They seemed to be the only people for miles.
There was nothing for miles but mountain peaks and a few lone trees, it was a very peaceful, pretty drive.
I was really drawn to this lone barn, The lines and textures in the wood look extremely damp and rich in colour. Pieces of wood that lie on the floor hint that it is abandoned, I wonder who lived there before?
We got to Boulder and explored the city, we walked around Pearl street which is the main area of shops and restaurants, we also ventured out into some neighbourhoods too. It is a very student oriented town with lots of happy hours and music shows going on.
We drove up into the mountains and got some great pictures showing the variety of plants and colours.
There were beautiful coloured leaves everywhere.
We climbed to the top of this mountain peak and it was FREEZING!!!!!! We could see that there was a storm coming in so we made our way back down into the city and met up with Brent's friend Dan who lives in the heart of Boulder.
The boys...ready to go sledding!
View from the bathroom window, it is such a cute little house.
I wouldn't mind my office window having this view!
Snowy streets of Boulder
Gorgeous. It looks like a fairy tale.
The snow finally cleared and we made our way back to Denver. We are leaving tomorrow and will try and make it Salt Lake City again,
hopefully the weather holds up!

When we got to Dan's house we had some food and drinks and decided
that we would stay the night. When we woke up the next morning a
blizzard had blown through leaving the whole city covered in snow. The
highways were closed and a lot of the city seemed to have closed down too.
Our day trip to Boulder turned into a 4 day snowed in adventure. It was
brilliant, we had such a great time.
Thanks Dan!
Thanks Dan!
